Fall for Arts Festival

2021 Fall for Arts Festival- Saturday, September 25th

This community event has a tradition of celebrating creativity and the changing seasons. It combines performance and traditional arts through the creation of free-standing murals during the Festival. The theme for 2020 was “Social Justice: Reclaiming Our Time”.

Hands-on arts and crafts workshops, amusements, and live music were featured throughout the day. Participation in this event is free; basic paints, brushes, and a primed surface are provided! All participating artists received a free festival t-shirt. Once complete, murals remain displayed on the lawn for several weeks.

After the Festival: Selected artworks will be displayed at Roosevelt Island’s Motorgate Atrium Gallery starting in April. All artwork will remain the RIOC property and may be displayed on Roosevelt Island to beautify the community in the future.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's event will feature only socially distanced mural making and art activities. We look forward to bring back the music and amusements next year!
