[ARCHIVED] RIOC Goes Green: Recycle Your Batteries

RIOC Goes Green Template

Roosevelt Island residents no longer need to throw their dead batteries in the garbage. Now they can bring them to the Public Safety Department (PSD) office at 550 Main Street where they can place them in the Battery Cycle tube in the lobby. Although residents can do this seven days a week, PSD will only be accepting batteries until 9:00 PM.

It's not only for Island residents and stakeholders. The Battery Cycle tubes are now in all RIOC offices where all employees are expected to use them when necessary. Please join RIOC in Going Green and recycle your batteries properly whenever you need to.
