Increased Activity At Coler Hospital
As the city and state begin to make changes to prepare for the influx of new patients from coronavirus (COVID-19), residents may see an increase in activity at Coler Hospital. Please keep in mind that the hospital is coordinating their efforts with the Public Safety Department. We will pass along information whenever we know more.
Meals for Roosevelt Island Seniors
As of last week, the Roosevelt Island Senior Center is no longer able to distribute food for its members. Please go to https://maps.nyc.gov/foodhelp/#map-page to find out food pantries, community kitchens and other food sources. If you know of a senior who is in need of attention of any kind, please contact the Public Safety Department immediately at 212-832-4545.
Pharmacies will now offer free home delivery to New Yorkers
After speaking with the state’s major pharmacy chains, pharmacies have agreed to offer free home delivery to help reduce long lines for prescriptions at their facilities.
New York’s presidential primary moved to June 23rd.
The Governor is issuing an Executive Order to move the presidential primary election from April 28 to June 23rd, aligning it with the congressional and legislative primaries in New York.

Census 2020
Make sure you respond to the 2020 Census. Invitations to complete the Census have started to arrive in New Yorkers’ mailboxes, and this year you can respond online. Everyone living in New York counts: A complete tally of all New Yorkers is crucial in determining how the state receives federal funds for infrastructure, education, public health and more.
