Councilmember Ben Kallos is hosting an Upper East Side Coronavirus (COVID-19) Video/Tele-Townhall with many elected officials from the Upper East Side. It will also have a Questions & Answers session with NYC Department of Health Dr. Jennifer Rosen, Director of Epidemiology & Surveillance Representatives for Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Assemblywoman Seawright Town Hall – Tonight – 7:00 PM

The Office of Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright hosts a Tuesday Virtual Town Hall at 7:00pm on the COVID-19 response, supports and resources available to our community. The meeting will be hosted on zoom with an option to join by telephone for those who may not have computer access. The joining URL and number remain the same week to week for each town hall.

On Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00pm, the topic is seniors and homebound elders during the COVID-19 crisis with special guests Marissa Block, Deputy Chief Program Officer at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House and Robin Strashun, Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator at Search and Care.

Grab and Go Meals for All New Yorkers at PS/IS 217 on Roosevelt Island

This program is expanding to three (3) free meals to adults at all sites. No one will be turned away.

Hours (Monday – Friday):

  • 7:30am-11:30am for families and children
  • 11:30am-1:30pm for adults

Limited Grab and Go Meal Deliveries

The Roosevelt Island Disabled Association (RIDA) along with Mosaic Church and Carter Burden are delivering breakfast and lunch Grab and Go bags from the Board of Education Monday through Fridays.

Food Pantries

Please go to https://maps.nyc.gov/foodhelp/#map-page to find out food pantries, community kitchens and other food sources. If you know of a senior who is in need of attention of any kind, please contact the Public Safety Department immediately at 212-832-4545.

Pharmacies offer free home delivery to New Yorkers
