83. RIOC Insurance Requirements
    All permit applicants must provide a certificate of liability in the amount of $1 million in general liability per occurrence. Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation must be listed as the certificate holder. New York State, New York City, Empire State Development Corporation, and Division of Housing and Community Renewal must be listed as additional insured on the certificate.

    I, hereby state the information is correct and complete to the best of my knowledge. I hereby assume responsibility for all statements applying to the applicant and all documents submitted along with this application. I understand falsification of any statement is punishable by a fine or imprisonment, or both. I also understand it is unlawful to give to a state employee, or for a state employee to accept, any benefit, monetary or otherwise, either as a gratuity for properly performing the job or in exchange for special consideration.     The Applicant hereby agrees to pay applicable fees per the RIOC Film and Photography Permit Schedule of Fees. The Applicant hereby agrees to hold harmless, indemnify and defend RIOC, the Empire State Development Corporation, the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, the State of New York, the City of New York, and in each and every case, their directors, officers, employees, agents, consultants or contractors (herein after,collectively referred to as “indemnities”), from and against any damages, cost, claims, or liabilities which Indemnities may sustain as a result of any and all liabilities, losses, damages, interests, judgments liens, costs and expenses (including without limitation, reasonable counsel fees and disbursements) claims, demands, suits, actions or proceedings which may be made or brought against Indemnities in any way arising out of correlating to the Permit, Including without limitation, the negligent acts or omissions, willful misconduct or unauthorized acts of the Applicant in connection with the Permit. However, the Applicant shall not be obligated to hold harmless, indemnify and defend an Indemnity to the extent of the Indemnity's own negligence or willful misconduct. The Applicant further agrees to comply with all pertinent provisions of New York State and City laws, rules and regulations. This Permit may be revoked at any time.
