[{"data":1,"prerenderedAt":-1},["ShallowReactive",2],{"advisory-62":3},{"id":4,"title":5,"description":6,"dateShort":7,"dateLong":8,"year":9},62,"Roosevelt Island Day - Saturday, June 6","Roosevelt Island Community:  \n\n\n\n\nRIOC is proud to invite the community to celebrate Roosevelt Island Day this Saturday, June 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Firefighters Field.\n\nThis annual community celebration will feature family-friendly activities, live entertainment, community organizations, giveaways, and refreshments throughout the afternoon.\n\nHighlights include:\n\nCommunity Planting Event (11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) – Hosted by iDig2Learn at Firefighters Field, residents are invited to help beautify the Island through a community planting project. \nFree Electronics Recycling (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) – The Roosevelt Island Older Adult Center, in partnership with State Senator Liz Krueger's Office, will host an e-waste collection event. Residents may drop off unwanted electronics at the Roosevelt Island Senior Center for responsible recycling. Please enter through the courtyard; the front door for the center will be closed. \nFree Yoga Class (10:15 a.m.) – A complimentary yoga session hosted by Sportspark will take place on the Sportspark front lawn beginning at 10:15 a.m. No advance registration is required.\nBike Repair Station (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) – Recycle-A-Bicycle will provide free basic bicycle repairs under the Helix.\nCommunity Tables and Activities (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) – Local organizations will host informational tables, activities, and giveaways throughout Firefighters Field.\n\n\nIn addition, beginning at 11 a.m. the Roosevelt Island Disabled Association (RIDA) will distribute free Puma shirts at the Roosevelt Island Day flea market near Good Shepherd Chapel while supplies last.\n\nAttendees can also enjoy inflatable rides, carnival games, a photobooth, DJ entertainment, arts and crafts, face painting, graffiti hat decorating, balloon art, tie-dye shirts, and more.\n\nFree food will be available while supplies last, including hot dogs, bagels, popcorn, cotton candy, and other treats.\n\nWe hope to see you there!\n\n-RIOC Community Affairs ","Jun 2","Tuesday, June 2, 2026",2026]
