RIOC.NY.Gov now delivers a more user-friendly, streamlined online experience
Roosevelt Island, NY (February 19, 2026) – The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) has launched its redesigned website, RIOC.ny.gov, an updated online home for Roosevelt Island that is now faster and more user-friendly than the previous site, and is optimized for the mobile experience to meet visitors where they are in terms of device use. The newly redesigned site offers streamlined navigation and improved content organization, making it easier for residents and visitors to quickly find the information they need. Key services, community resources, and operational updates are now presented in a clearer layout, reducing the number of clicks required to access important pages.
“This new platform makes it easier than ever to stay connected with RIOC, access important services, and discover everything Roosevelt Island has to offer,” said RIOC President and CEO B.J. Jones. “We encourage residents and visitors alike to explore this user-friendly site to learn more about our organization and the island we serve.”
Visitors to RIOC.ny.gov are greeted by a homepage designed to maximize the user experience, with a video banner highlighting the island’s many attractions and warm community, followed by larger access buttons to the site’s most heavily trafficked pages: Sportspark, permits, transit, news & events, and “Report a Problem” to RIOC. Accessing these important features is now much easier on a smartphone or tablet. The redesigned site places a strong emphasis on mobile optimization, with pages automatically adjusting to different-sized screens and offering smoother navigation and more readable text.
Additional enhancements include updated accessibility features to support a wider range of users, faster page load times, and a modernized visual design that reflects Roosevelt Island’s identity and sense of community. The site was developed to serve as a central digital hub for island life, bringing together news, programming information, transportation resources, and community services in one convenient location.
In addition, RIOC.ny.gov also now has integration with the island’s Everbridge advisory system, so residents who are not signed up to receive alerts via email or text can still see the latest information from RIOC once it goes out under the “News & Events” ? “Advisories” tab.
